All names added to our paper boat and paper plane will also be added to our petition to the Prime Minister, which we will deliver before the final vote on the Climate Change Bill in parliament.
Prime Minister,
We support the UK Government's actions in introducing a Climate Change Bill to reduce the UK's greenhouse gas emissions
However, we would urge you to consider making the bill properly effective by ensuring that it follows scientific opinion and sets a long term target of 80% reductions of carbon emissions by 2050.
We also consider it imperative that the bill should include emissions from international aviation and shipping in the legislation from the outset.
